Rest Days

· Employers should provide foreign domestic helpers with 4 rest days per month, at least one rest day per week. However, rest days are not mandatory on Sundays.

Statutory Holidays

· When a foreign domestic helper has worked continuously for the employer for 3 months, they are entitled to the following statutory holidays, totaling 14 days per year:

－ January 1 (Gregorian calendar)
－ Lunar New Year’s Day
－ 2nd day of Lunar New Year
－ 3rd day of Lunar New Year
－ Qingming Festival
－ May 1 (Labour Day)
－ Buddha’s Birthday
－ Dragon Boat Festival
－ Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Establishment Day
－ National Day
－ The day after Mid-Autumn Festival
－ Chongyang Festival
－ Winter Solstice or Christmas Day (selected by the employer)
－ The first Sunday after Christmas
