Termination

  • Both the employer and the employer may terminate the contract by giving each other one month’s written notice or paying each other one month’s salary in lieu of notice. According to the provisions of the Labour Law, regardless of whether the FDH requests to terminate the contract or commits serious negligence, the employer is required to pay the FDH the air ticket and travel allowance for returning to his/her place of origin, in addition to all unpaid wages and leave compensation.
  • The employer is required to notify the Extension of Stay Section of the Immigration Department in writing within 7 days of the termination date of the contract to avoid unnecessary trouble caused by the FDH in the future. The termination letter can be faxed directly to the People’s Immigration Department.
